Refund policy

At Popup Mahj, we want you to love everything you bring to the table. If something isn’t quite right, we’re happy to help. Please review our return and refund policy below.

Returns

We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a full refund, your item must be:

Unused and in the same condition in which you received it
In its original packaging
Complete with all accessories, components, tags, and packaging
Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase

Mahjong tile sets must remain sealed in their original packaging or shrink wrap to qualify for a full refund.

To request a return, please contact us at hello@popmahj.com before sending your item back. Please include your name, order number, and the item you would like to return.

Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item received was damaged, defective, or incorrect. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as Popup Mahj cannot be responsible for return packages that are lost in transit.

Opened Items

Because many of our products are handled, displayed, packaged, and sold as complete sets, opened merchandise may not qualify for a full refund.

At our discretion, eligible opened items returned within the 14-day return period may be accepted subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Tile sets that have been opened, used, or are missing tiles, accessories, packaging, or other included components may not be eligible for return.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your item is damaged, defective, or you received the wrong product, contact us at hello@popmahj.com within 7 days of delivery so we can make it right.

Please include:

Your order number
A brief description of the issue
Clear photos of the item and, when applicable, the shipping packaging

Once we review your request, we will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, store credit, or refund.

Popup Mahj will cover reasonable return shipping costs for items confirmed to have arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Final Sale Items

Certain items are not eligible for return or refund, including:

Sale or clearance items marked Final Sale
Personalized or custom-made products
Gift cards
Items that have been used, damaged after delivery, or returned incomplete

Pop-Up Event Purchases

Items purchased at a Popup Mahj pop-up event are subject to the same general return requirements outlined above.

Proof of purchase is required, and return requests must be made within 14 days of purchase.

Please contact hello@popmahj.com before returning an item purchased at a pop-up so we can provide return instructions.

Exchanges

The easiest way to exchange an item is to request a return for the original item and place a new order for the product you would like instead.

This helps ensure your preferred item does not sell out while your return is being processed.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method, generally within 5–10 business days after the return has been inspected.

Please keep in mind that your bank or credit card company may require additional time to process and post the refund to your account.

Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the return resulted from an error by Popup Mahj or the product arrived damaged or defective.

Purchases From Other Retailers

If you purchased a Popup Mahj product through an independent retailer, instructor, boutique, marketplace, or other third-party seller, your return must generally be handled through the business from which the item was purchased and may be subject to that seller’s return policy.
